Friday, January 30th 2015

Today has been considerably different compared to yesterday. The winds have shifted and are now coming primarily from the North, which explains the slight drop in temperature. I expected that shift in wind direction after noticing cold forceful winds later in the night last night. I also predicted there would be no precipitation today considering a drop in temperature. After making observations today I found I was accurate with my predictions from yesterday.

Although it was fairly windy earlier this morning, the wind has seemed to die down throughout the day. There has been no type of precipitation today, and it does not seem as if there is going to be any later tonight. Thin, wispy type clouds covered the sky earlier in the day providing the same gloomy feel as yesterday. However the clouds have seemed to clear from the sky and as the sun begins the set, the sky is primarily blue with a few of the same types of clouds remaining. Despite the temperature being colder than yesterday, the air feels much warmer as the sun makes its way out.

Everything feels fairly calm and I do not predict much of a change in weather from today to tomorrow. Tomorrow will be fairly similar to today in terms of low chance of precipitation, partly cloudy sky cover and similar temperatures just below freezing.
