Here Comes The Snow

Temperature: 23
Real Feel: 14
Wind: SE 5 mph
Precipitation: 90%
Humidity: 81%

Both my predictions from yesterday were fairly accurate in regards to both temperature and precipitation. Everything good must end, and by the that I mean the warm and sunny days we experienced last weekend. Now we are able to get back  winter weather mode and experience below freezing temperatures and a little bit of snow.

Low Pressure System Brings Snow - SHOCKER!
Today's south winds, though fairly insignificant below 10 mph, brought a low pressure system into the Eau Claire area. With that system came a solid cover of gray clouds over the entire sky and of course snow. The clouds were visible all throughout the day, fortunately the snow did not start until later in the afternoon around 2 or 3 pm. Snow showers started off light and were on an on and off type patter. Later in the evening thick heavy snow flurries started to fall and lasted about and hour or two. The damage is roughly around an inch, which of course could be worse.

Because of the snow fall we received today temperatures should slightly warm up over tonight and into tomorrow. As the low pressure system dies out because of an occluded front there should be no more precipitation tonight or tomorrow.
