Today is the first day back from break, and I am slowly but surely attempting to get back into my school routine and the cool gloomy weather does not particularly help. Temperatures are above freezing in the mid to high 40s, which is still fairly cool. The sky is fully covered with stratus type clouds and considering a fairly strong north eastern wind direction in combination with the clouds, there is a strong chance for some rain today. Although it is not currently raining it looks as though it is very possible in the next couple of hours as the sky seems to be darkening. Despite the chance for rain for today, conditions are not particularly exciting.
For tomorrow, I expect temperatures to increase considering the high pressure system to the south which will provide Eau Claire with south western winds bringing in some continental tropical air. After the rain today, I don't expect similar chance for precipitation for tomorrow considering the air is still fairly dry and it seems there is only enough water vapor for a brief rainfall today.
