Slightly Colder Today

Temperature: 44
Real Feel: 47
Wind: NW 15 mph
Precipitation: 0%
Humidity: 22%

My predictions from yesterday indicating an decrease in temperature for today were fairly accurate. I anticipated a decrease in temperature because of the shift in wind direction that is now coming from the north. Not only did I predict a change in temperature, but I also predicted a chance for some rain. Yesterday evening there was a brief rainfall which I had anticipated because of the full stratus cloud coverage along with low pressure and a high presence in water vapor.

Today has consisted of clear skies and strong winds. Cloud coverage today has been little to nothing, with few scattered cirrus clouds this morning. The wind is has maintained a north pattern, however, winds are much stronger today compared to yesterday. The strong northern winds can be directly associated with the high pressure to the west of Eau Claire. The winds are blowing strongly in a counterclockwise direction bringing in polar continental air from the north west. This has caused temperatures to decrease along with a cold front to the south moving downward. Unlike yesterday there is no chance for precipitation and conditions are quite stable.

For tomorrow conditions will most likely maintain a similar pattern. Temperatures will most likely remain in the upper 40s as the north winds continue to bring in that cold air. However, tomorrows skies may not be as clear tomorrow considering there seems to be more water vapor present to the north west, with the possibility of being brought over by the winds. Also, as the high pressure system to the west begins to die out, which is causing the north west winds in Eau Claire, there is a possibility for the wind direction to change.
