Storms Tonight?

Temperature: 67
Real Feel: 67
Wind: SE 14 mph
Precipitation: 0%
Humidity: 30%

As I predicted yesterday, temperatures have significantly increased. Because of the high pressure system to the south west of the Eau Claire area which was interacting with the low pressure to the north, south western winds brought along some warmer temperatures for today. I had also anticipated an increase in the wind strength with respect to the incoming air from the high pressure areas to the south west flowing towards Eau Claire. I mentioned a chance for storms today, and even though conditions don't reflect an apparent possibility at the moment with warm partially sunny skies, I still expect storms to be likely for this evening or tonight.

Beautiful Temperatures!
Conditions this morning were clear and temperatures were well above freezing. As the morning progressed into the afternoon temperatures continued to increase due to the mostly south winds. Not only did conditions change during the afternoon with respect to temperature, but cloud cover also increased. The clear morning soon turned to overcast, as altostratus clouds continued to cover the skies. Winds are much stronger than yesterday and have once again shifted as the high pressure that was to the west of Eau Claire is not to the east.  With the cloud cover thickening and south east winds, the predication for storms later on tonight is not too far off. Not only does the cloud cover and the wind direction provided evidence for significant chance of rainfall, but the amount of water vapor present in the air also provides enough fuel for a storm. furthermore conditions, though stable now, have been decreasing in stability. Unfortunately the ability to enjoy a day with almost 70 degree temperatures is soon becoming impossible as the chance for storms is slowly becoming reality.

High Pressure is Now to the East - Creating
South Eastern Winds
Significant Amounts of Water Vapor
Even though temperatures today are considerably warm today, I do not expect them to remain that way. After today I expect wind direction to once again shift as the high pressure makes its way upon Eau Claire. As that happens the south wind will turn into a north west wind. As from the decrease in temperature I have no other predictions for significant changes in conditions after the possible storm ends.
