Spring Fever!

Friday, March 6th - Sunday, March 8th 2015
Unfortunately, a nasty cold had confined me to my bed all weekend and prevented me to make any legitimate weather observations over the past few days. Considering all this hype concerning warmer weather and my excited predications for increases in temperature, I am extremely disappointed I wasn't able to actually enjoy the weather this weekend. Although from my bedroom window I was sadly able to witness the subtle melting of snow, which indicates that all the talk for warm weather to come was in fact true. Even though I was not able to enjoy the warmth from this past weekend, I will be able to enjoy it for the rest of the week as it is predicted to last.

Despite my lack of actual observations, I can report that the increase in temperature is largely due to change in wind direction. Because the winds have shifted, no longer blowing from the north, temperatures have inevitably increased. With a continuation of southern winds, temperatures will most likely maintain a consistent pattern well above freezing.

Temperature: 41
Real Feel: 35
Wind: SSW 9 mph
Precipitation: 0%
Humidity: 74%

The only prediction I had made from last weekend for today, and for the remaining of the week, was the continuation of warm temperatures. As temperatures had begun to rise starting at the beginning of last weekend and have continued to increase well above freezing, I was able to predict a similar pattern in conditions for today and even for the rest of the week. With a continuation of winds from the south todays temperatures will continue to warm.

Todays High Temperature Map
Today started out with a mostly cloudy sky. The sky was primarily covered in thin puffy gray clouds. Although the sky was primarily covered with these thin clouds, the sun still managed to shine through allowing the morning to feel a little less gloomy. As the day pasted cloud coverage lessened to only a partly cloudy sky. There has been no actual type of precipitation today, nor does there seem to be any chance for it, considering the air is still very dry despite the warmer temperatures. Temperatures are still in a warming pattern, and are increased well above freezing allowing for more melting to occur. The winds are still coming from the south, which is a good sign, and are fairly calm. Today is yet another hopeful day, feeding my overgrowing spring fever!

Winds Still Coming From the South!
Tomorrow will most likely maintain a similar warming pattern. Winds are expected to continue to blow from the south, allowing temperatures to remain the same if not increase even more. With lack of water vapor in the air, I don't expect any type of precipitation for tomorrow or much cloud cover. Tomorrow is looking like it will be yet another sunny day, with very mild temperatures.
